Da Vinci’s Paddle Boat: from an Animated 3D design to an Exact Replica

Ever seen the Paddle boat made up by Leonardo Da Vinci? It now exists as an animated 3D design and a 3D print. And you can compare both at the Milan Design Week until Sunday!

Our partner Dassault Systèmes created 3D models for Da Vinci Virtual Museum II, a virtual exhibition happening at the Leonardo Da Vinci Museum.

Inventions of Leonardo Da Vinci have been modelized in 3D. Virtual visitors can admire an animated Flying machine, a Paddle boat, a Multi canon, the Scythe Chariot, a Self supporting Bridge and a Rotatable crane. All pieces can be visualized in a virtual visit on 3DVIA.com and in the museum.

Sculpteo 3D printed some of the pieces reproduced by Dassault Systèmes from Leonardo Da Vinci’s originals. 3D models and 3D prints are more than ever connected for inventors and artists!
