Sculpteo is launching its first worldwide design contest! We are in a quest for finding the best iPhone 4 case that you could ever imagine with 3D printing. It is pretty ambitious, but also a lot of fun! Interested to participate in our iPhone 4 case challenge? Here is the deal:

Imagine an iPhone 4 case that takes the most of 3D printing technologies.

3D printing lets you imagine designs with details and precision, complex geometrical shapes, mechanical gears. We encourage you to use these possibilities and focus on customization features (engravings) and computer generated designs (personalized patterns) as well.

First Prize winner will receive: a 150 euros (190 dollars) purchase voucher for 3D printing designs with Sculpteo +  a 3D print of the design.

Second prize will get a 75 euros (95 dollars) purchase voucher + a 3D print of the design.

We created a third prize that will be chosen by the public. The most popular iPhone 4 case design on Sculpteo.com (best rating + most votes) will get a 75 euros (95 dollars) purchase voucher and a 3D print of the design. Everyone can vote here.

All winners will get an opportunity to open a designer store on Sculpteo.com and sell their own designs.

Maximal 3D print volume can’t exceed 40cm3

3D printing materials for this contest is Polyamide or White Detail Resin. Check properties for each of them and make your choice!

Share your design on Sculpteo.com and send us an email at contest@sculpteo.com including:

  • fill this form (it includes: a short text description with pictures explaining your idea, a link to your design on Sculpteo.com, your email and username)
  • 2 3D views of your final design without the iPhone,
  • 1 3D view of your design with an iPhone,
  • your 3D printing material choice (Polyamide or White Detail Resin)
  • your 3D file

Jury will be made up of design and 3D printing professionals and representatives of Sculpteo.

This worldwide contest is opened to everyone. You have until June 10 2012 to participate. You can submit as many designs as you want. Public can vote until June 17 2012. Results will be announced in July 2012.

    Sorry but that file actually was created by apple, the files I created are the ones below that: ‘iPhone 4 templates’ they were located at the bottom of the instructable.
