This week, eBay entered the world of 3D printing. The company has partnered with SculpteoMakerbot and HotPop Factory to launch a new 3D printing app, eBay Exact. The app works as an online store for well-known 3D printing companies and features customizable “printed” merchandise.

Today, you can download the app directly from the Apple App Store. The Sculpteo section lets you customize eight products with unique designs and order them directly within the app.

Since fashion and accessories are certainly a hot trend in the 3D printing world, we’ve brought together some beautiful jewelry designs. Most of the items are rings or pendants, which are all available in sterling silver, but you can also order the “seal ring” in colored plastic.

Once you have selected the model you want, you can either use our parametric design tools to customize it or buy it directly from the app. You’ll find a brief description of the items below the presentation picture.

We have also integrated some models of our 3DP case application within the eBay Exact app, letting you order 3D printed cases for your iPhone.

Also, in limited edition, the app lets you generate little figurines of yourself or friends by simply uploading photos.

This new app is a great opportunity to discover new products from three renowned 3D printing companies; and, it demonstrates how Sculpteo’s 3D printing Cloud Engine has been integrated by key industry leaders in the e-commerce sector to offer 3D printing to consumers.

We hope you like eBay Exact as much as we do; and, stay tuned for more designs!
