Follow the White Rabbit…

Remember this scene at the begining of the Matrix trilogy, in which Neo feels like he’s still asleep and can’t tell what’s real and what’s not? Well, Ji Lee took pretty much the same approach. He and his team decided to 3D print 10 000 tiny sweet white bunny figurines, in the shape of a meditating rabbit, and place them in random spots all over the world. The artist states:

“Everyday, we spend our time constantly doing things: Going from one place to another, working, shopping, checking our phones, thinking about the past and worrying about the future. We rarely stop and enjoy the moment. In doing so, we end up missing the beautiful moments of life that go by us without ever being noticed.”

With his project Mysterabbit, Lee is trying to let people be aware of their environment again.

“We hope they (Mysterabbits) will stop people from their daily routine and for a brief moment, make them wonder about their mysterious, newly found gift, and a small piece of the beautiful world that surrounds them.”

If you want to participate to this project, you can ask Lee for free Mysterabbits through its website or download the 3D files of the rabbit and 3D print it yourself as much as you want to spread it around the globe. The goal is also to share pictures of the rabbits you see in your city.

So we just have one advice for you, the same that Neo received…”follow the white rabbit”.
