Limited Time remaining for Pinshape’s Toy Challenge!

Posted By Zach Correa on Jul 25, 2014 | 0 comments

ONE WEEK LEFT! Create the next great toy and we’ll donate it to a children’s hospital, sell it for you on Amazon.com and give you $2000+ in awesome prizes!

In partnership with Pixologic, Wacom, Digital TutorsSculpteo and Clara.io, we’re excited to host the 3D Printed Kids’ Toys Design Contest!

This is your chance to bring smiles and joy to kids everywhere, through the magic of 3D printing. Design a 3D printable toy (action figure, playset, puzzle, game, building blocks, and more), and submit it to the contest. The Pinshape Community will narrow down the choices, our great panel of judges will select the winners, we’ll bathe you in awesome prizes from our partners and the incredible kids at the Lucille Packard Children’s Hospital will get some new toys to play with!

If there are entries you like, you can also order them yourself, either for use on your own 3D printer, or as professionally printed designs shipped to your door by our great partners, Sculpteo, who offer 35+ materials to bring your creations to life.

Thanks to our partners, we have some awesome prizes to give away to the winning entries.  There are prizes available for the top 5 entries, but here is the one everyone will be gunning for:

ZBrush Contest2

To win, you’ll need to finish in the top 10% most liked designs (users vote by clicking like on the designs on Pinshape), or get hand selected by one of our judges to be considered part of the final judging phase. With that in mind, the more you share your entry with friends and family and anyone else, the more likely you are to gain the number of likes you need to make it!

We’ve teamed with some amazing judges (Adam RossJoe MennaGreg CallahanKlim Kozinevich & Paul Gaboury)  who are all experts in 3D printing and have some incredible experience including hollywood movies and toy creation. They will be choosing the final winner based on both the design itself and the way it’s presented on Pinshape.

The contest will be open to submissions worldwide until 23:59 PST August 1, 2014, so time is running out. Don’t miss out on this great opportunity, help bring some joy to kids now!
